The Philippine Embassy in Pretoria conducted its sixth consular outreach mission for 2023 to Maseru in the Kingdom of Lesotho on 08 July 2023. The team of Consul Jim Minglana and Mr. Dennis Punzalan provided consular services such as passport renewal, civil registration, legalization of documents, and overseas voters registration for the 2025 national elections to Filipinos and their families in the area.
There are approximately 200 Filipinos in Lesotho, mostly working as managers and supervisors in the garments and textile industry. A number are spouses of locals and other foreign nationals who own factories and businesses in the Kingdom.
The Embassy expresses its appreciation to the Proud Filipinos in Lesotho (PROFILE) Association for helping ensure the success of the mission.
