On the release of the TIP Report, DFA Acting Undersecretary for Migrant Workers' Affairs Eduardo Jose A. de Vega stated that, "the Tier 1 status of the Philippines for the 7th year is an acknowledgment of the whole-of-government efforts of the DFA and other IACAT member agencies. Moreover, it is a clarion call for us to continue building on our accomplishments and work together to further prevent trafficking in persons.

We are pleased that with the use of technology, the 2022 report made mention of the DFA OUMWA’s HELP Facebook page for Filipinos working abroad who are in distress, and for their families requesting assistance.

The DFA will continue to pursue proactive actions in its approach in preventing trafficking-in-persons. Rest assured that the men and women of the Department will further strengthen our efforts and commitment to assist our kababayans in distress 24/7 wherever in the world."
