Ambassador Noralyn Jubaira Baja with DIRCO Acting Deputy Director General for Asia and the Middle East Ntombizodwa M. Lallie
Philippine Ambassador to South Africa Noralyn Jubaira Baja called on Ambassador Ntombizodwa M. Lallie, Acting Deputy Director General for Asia and the Middle East at the South African Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO), on 29 September 2022.
During the meeting, both sides discussed outstanding bilateral issues, particularly the revival of the Philippines-South Africa Bilateral Consultative Forum (BCF). Despite not convening the policy consultations because of the COVID-19 pandemic, both sides expressed satisfaction for ongoing bilateral initiatives in the areas of agriculture, defense, diplomatic training, as well as science, technology and innovation.
Joining the meeting were First Secretary Maurice A. Tiempo, DIRCO Director for Southeast Asia (SEA) Raymond Medhurst and SEA Deputy Director Anfra Ramalho Murteira.
Ambassador Lallie has served as South Africa’s top envoy to Belgium, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana and New Zealand.
