Mauritius Outreach 2023

The Philippine Embassy in Pretoria conducted its seventh consular outreach mission for 2023 to Port Louis, Mauritius on 29 July 2023. The team of Consul Jim Minglana and Mr. Dennis Cruz provided services related to passport renewal and overseas voters registration for the 2025 national elections.

There are about 150 members of the Filipino community in Mauritius, mostly working as managers, supervisors, and highly skilled professionals in the tourism, medical, manufacturing, banking, IT and other industries. There are also missionaries as well as spouses of locals and other foreign nationals.

The Embassy expresses its appreciation to the Honorary Consulate and the Filipinos in Mauritius for helping ensure the success of the mission.

Lesotho Outreach 2023

The Philippine Embassy in Pretoria conducted its sixth consular outreach mission for 2023 to Maseru in the Kingdom of Lesotho on 08 July 2023. The team of Consul Jim Minglana and Mr. Dennis Punzalan provided consular services such as passport renewal, civil registration, legalization of documents, and overseas voters registration for the 2025 national elections to Filipinos and their families in the area.

There are approximately 200 Filipinos in Lesotho, mostly working as managers and supervisors in the garments and textile industry. A number are spouses of locals and other foreign nationals who own factories and businesses in the Kingdom.
